BOP II Topic of the Week: Do you use tracking devices for your personal items or pets? They are handy for finding lost things, but recent research shows they can be exploited by tech-savvy stalkers. I have considered AirTags for a few years, but for luggage while on trips versus pets (I have none). Since I rarely check bags, it hasn't been a high priority. But now considering as some travel upcoming which may require checking bags. The stalking topic is a new one, but not surprising. If the manufacturers did more to prevent misuse, they would likely make AirTags unaffordable. For my use, I'll simply only put battery in the AirTag before checking the bag, and remove the battery when at destination. Plus, I can't imagine why someone would stalk me anyway..!
