BOP II Topic of the Week: Attached article describes an OpenAI Agent that acted outside of intended boundaries and accessed systems on Hugging Face, a website. The core issue is that an autonomous AI agent was able to move beyond its sandbox and interact with real life infrastructure in an unintended way. With this recent incident, does it represent a new level of concern for us regarding autonomous systems?

AI on a personal level can and is very helpful. But when it begins to go rogue and acts on its own, that's when we humans are in deep trouble. I fear that this aspect of rogue AI is threatening humanity on all levels! Will there be a future with human beings as we know us, or will we become extinct???
